Brandon Jenkins, labeled the "Red Dirt Shaman" Will be stopping in at Six Strings on Sunday, August 1. The concert is sponsored by The Whip. Red Dirt Music gets it’s name from the blood red soil and surrounding landscape of Stillwater, Oklahoma, the place many hail as the “Mecca” Of Red Dirt Music. With a voice as big as Texas and guitar chops (and beard) that would make Billy Gibbons proud, Jenkins takes his rightful place as one of the shining stars of not only Red Dirt, but American music. Jenkins is the flagship artist for Red Dirt / E1 Music, a label which has been created by E1 Entertainment specifically geared to cultivate red dirt music to a broader audience. Since moving to Austin, Texas in 2003 Jenkins has had a phenomenal run of success with 8 hit singles on the Texas Music Chart including “Feet Don’t Touch The Ground“, “Finger On The Trigger“, “Down In Flames“ “The Whole World’s Gone Crazy”, “Why Did We Ever Say Goodbye” and “Call Of The Road.” His album Faster Than A Stone spent 13 weeks on the national AMA Chart, and Jenkins’ songs have been cut by LaRue, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Bleu Edmondson, and Lester Chambers, among others.
