Six Strings' Dance Classes

Thursday Schedule:
Cost: FREE on Thursday if you are a student and have a current student ID. Otherwise it is $5 per class. And you get FREE admission to Six Strings with the Mechanical Bull that same evening. The house DJ will play your dance mixes during the night so you can impress your friends. On Tuesday, lessons are $5 and you can stay for beginner and intermediate classes for one price. What: Six Strings will be offering lessons to learn popular country dances. Impress your friends with your ability to kick up your heels on the dance floor. Classes will be taught in a progressive style with repetition so anyone can learn. Beginner classes start at 8:00 and for those of you already stompin' and kickin' up your heels that don't need the basic fundamentals you can continue on into the intermediate class at 8:45. How: The class will be taught in a progressive style with repetition. Dances will be taught as a class over an eight week period of time. An individual dance will be taught one week and then the next week the dance will be reviewed and a new dance added. After instruction for a dance is completed, the dance will be inserted between lessons without instruction to keep it current in your mind. If you are in the beginner class and miss something or didn't quite get the hang of things, you can repeat the classes every eight weeks. Dances for the beginner classes will not change much but the intermediate classes will regularly introduce new dances that are fast and fun. When: Every Thursday evening Six Strings will offer country dance lessons. Classes start at 8:00 and continue until 9:30 in the evening. Beginner classes are from 8:00 until 8:45 and intermediate classes are from 8:45 until 9:30. Classes start up Thursday, August 23rd. Who: There is 21 year old age restriction at Six Strings for dancers. Any Dancers under the age of 21 will be allowed to participate only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. You do not need to know how to dance - we will teach you even if you have two left feet. Food and Drink: Bar service will be available for the duration of the night and bar food is available from your bartender or wait staff.
