Cover Charge Six Strings is an entertainment venue providing quality live music and a variety of other forms of entertainment.  We do our best to avoid charging cover whenever possible.  Unfortunately there is a significant cost to provide the entertainment and consequently we do charge cover on specific nights of the week when entertainment is provided.  We do not charge cover on evenings when entertainment is not provided. Listed below are some guidelines on what to expect for cover charge at Six Strings based on the type of entertainment provided: Mechanical Bull: $3 cover for unlimited rides on the bull.  Compare this to other venues that offer bull riding and charge up to $5 per ride.  Every Thursday is Ladies Night all night long, so ladies, you get in for FREE. Lucky the Mechanical Bull is at Six Strings every Thursday and Friday (Except the 1st Friday of each month) when ISU and Illinois Wesleyan are in session.  Lucky takes a vacation when the students go on break. Club Bands:  $5 cover for admission to enjoy the music and entertainment of our bands.  However, there are ways to avoid or reduce your cover if you plan ahead.      Bar Crawls             - Groups of 20 or more save $1 off regular cover                                      - Groups of 30 or more save $2 off regular cover      VIP Customer        - Ask about our VIP Customer card and earn free                                        admission and other merchandise      Partnering              - Bring your ticket stub following a performance at                                           - the Center for Performing Arts                                           - the Castle Theatre                                           - the Coliseum                                         and get free admission to Six Strings sponsored events NOTE: Discount offers cannot be combined Concerts:  Prices vary depending on the artist.  Special advertised discounts do not apply to concerts or entertainment sponsored by someone other than Six Strings.       Typically you can order your tickets in advance on-line from our store       and save several dollars off the price of admission.
